About Molly Thomas
Molly Thomas is an attorney, mediator and arbitrator with over 20 years of legal experience in civil litigation, insurance disputes, and negotiations. She has represented plaintiffs, businesses, and insurers, giving her a well-rounded perspective in mediation.
​
After earning her undergraduate and law degrees from Florida State University, Molly began her legal career as a Public Defender in Florida’s Second Judicial Circuit and later served as a Guardian ad Litem, advocating for vulnerable clients. She went on to practice civil litigation, personal injury, and first-party insurance law, representing both plaintiffs and insurance companies in complex claims. As a co-founder and managing partner of Marshall Thomas Burnett, P.A., she helped establish a leading firm focused on insurance disputes and high-value personal injury cases.

Beyond law, Molly has experience in real estate development, hospitality, and business negotiations, founding Luxury Cayman Villas, a boutique hospitality brand. Her background in contract negotiations and business operations enhances her ability to mediate disputes effectively.
​
She is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit Civil and Family mediator and is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, The Florida Bar and the Florida Academy of Professional Mediators.
